Ravages of time

Oh, how time has flown by- the days stretch into weeks, weeks into months, and months into.. more months. Nobody reads this blog anymore.
Time has changed us in irreparable ways- it has torn us apart, we have made enemies of each other, and others we have lost in the war. Some of us have had children who are now accomplished doctors and mariners of the sea, and the fuckers only call home on birthdays (if they remember to at all).

Our hardened hearts look back upon the embittered times we have endured and grow colder, impassive. We cradle the wooden pegs where our healthy appendages once were and ask through gritted teeth,

"...WHY?"

Oh why indeed, cruel world.
Why indeed.
